In Character Information
Name: Robin (female version)
Series: Fire Emblem: Awakening
Canon Standing: Before the final battle
Age: Time travel's involved, this could be confusing.... looks early-20's, possibly
Birthday & Astrology Sign: Jan 1, Capricorn
Arcana: Fool
Personality:
Robin is, first and foremost, an extremely intelligent individual. She's the chief tactician in an army, and has earned the respect of friends, allies, world leaders, and even enemies in this role. Her knowledge of battle and combat tactics is amazing. She's always working to expand her knowledge as well, and can often be found reading a book if there's downtime. During battle, Robin is able to accurately gauge the flow of battle, rework her plans, make split-second decisions, and even create completely new battle strategies as needed.
Despite her tactical nature, Robin tends to be blunt and honest when dealing with others. She certainly knows how to be well-mannered, but she has no qualms on calling out royalty on their own lack of manners, or flat-out call a stalker creepy. She doesn't really let her honesty roll over into straight rudeness, but if she thinks she's gone too far, such as when she told Tharja that she would rather she were more normal, she has no qualms with admitting her mistake and apologizing.
She tends to react with fluster, embarrassment, or anger, or some combination of the three, when the situation warrants it. Despite knowing it's not his fault in her mind, she still reacts violently to Chrom's intrusion of the female bathing tent, and then reacts equally violently when she enters the male bathing tent. This isn't too odd, but it's worth noting that, despite being incredibly intelligent and tactical, when emotions run over, she runs with those emotions. So to speak.
Now for the persona-y goodness: Robin is a firm believer in the power of the bonds forged through battle and friendship. She believes those bonds trump gods, fate, and everything else. She makes several speeches throughout the game saying as much. Indeed, when she faces Grima, it's those bonds which allow her to overcome the magic cast against the group. When she sacrifices herself to destroy him, it's those bonds which bring her back. In short, SHE IS A PROTAG AND SHE USES SOCIAL LINKS aw yeah. Because of this, she really, truly, and deeply cares about all of her friends, her family, and her comrades. REALLY. TRULY. DEEPLY.
Because of both her incredible intelligence and her great belief in the power of the bonds forged between people, Robin is incredibly perceptive when dealing with others. She can often make good judgment calls on others, and can often see past the masks a person wears... past their... wait for it.... persona. Anyway, this skill allows her to get to the heart of a person's troubles quickly, and allows her to forge stronger bonds. Other people note how she is able to draw in people and make friends, and this is one of the reasons why.
In short, Robin is a Persona protagonist except from a fantasy world.
Backstory:
Wiki link gooooo. It's really long okay.
But, for note, since the game has multiple choices in it: In this version, Robin is a chick, she marries Chrom (and thus is queen,) and is the mother of both Lucina and Morgan. She hasn't made the final choice about whether or not to sacrifice herself against Grima.
Canon Powers:
.......WELP. Currently, Robin is a Grandmaster, although being the protagonist, she can change class to any other class available. As a Grandmaster, Robin can wield swords and tomes (which she can cast magic from.) She also seems to have the odd ability to "see the flow of battle." This p much lets her work like battle support, in that she can see enemy stats AND generally see the results of an action (hit percentages and probable damage from an attack, for example) before carrying them out. She can also have up to five skills equipped, and has learned the following skills:
Veteran: 1.5x experience when paired up with another unit Mind
Solidarity: Critical and Critical Avoid +10 to adjacent allies Mind
Ignis: Adds (Magic/2) damage when attacking with weapons and (Strength/2) damage when attacking with magic Mind
Rally Spectrum: All stats +4 to all allies within a 3 tile radius for one turn when the Rally command is used Mind
Rally Movement: Movement +1 to all allies within a 3 tile radius for one turn when the Rally command is used Mind
Galeforce: Allows the user another full action after they defeat an enemy during the user's turn (only once per turn) Mind
Armsthrift: Attack does not reduce weapon usage Mind
Patience: Hit rate and Avoid +10 during the enemy's turn Mind
Canon Weapons|Items:
Deathbringer: A sword. Full name is "The Legendary Deathbringer, the Sword Which Brings Death to All Who Oppose It," but the full title didn't fit in the naming window. Why did she let Owain name it...? Cut
Normal Book: A tome. Despite the innocuous-sounding name, the book is hexed to curse anybody who touches it (besides Robin) with rashes and allergies. Why did she let Tharja name it...? Fire
Mom's Book: A tome. With a very embarrassing name. Why did she let Morgan name it...? Wind
Elixir: Restores all of a user's HP. 3 uses. Healing
Second Seal: Allows the user to reclass. Support
...Robin can only carry five items at a time. :(
Canon Allies:
....How is she going to reclass to a mounted unit if she doesn't bring anything with her? Jeez Robin, you should have thought this through better. (AKA she comes alone.)
Canon Baggage:
Pretty much what I listed in her inventory. Also clothing, a wedding ring, normal stuff like that.
